Over/Under is an independent quarterly publication
that bridges the gap between artists of all mediums, cultural
communities, and the general public, resulting in an exposé
of underground, accessible slices of passion and expression. Exploring
worldly destinations and suburban sprawls, Over/Under aims to
dissect the mainstream to find what is often looked “over”
and never looked “under.”

Well, it's official. I am a work-a-holic.
I began to notice glimpses of this when friends would call me
up and tell me where I was and what I was doing before I had the
chance to. It's not that I am friends with Dionne Warwick, it's
that I am always in the office, working on this that and the other.
I knew it had gotten bad when I found myself calling my girlfriend
on my way home to go to sleep; she was waking up to go to work.
This is not a complaint, however, I enjoy every minute of it.
I feel lucky to have found something that I feel so passionate
about. I feel like I am one of the few that enjoys this concept.
It is not a luxury however. I feel anyone can have it, but why
don't they? I look around at rush hour and see near zombie like
drones held conscious to the inane sense of duty that compels
them to live the complacent life. Something that makes me wonder,
“What they wanted to be when they were younger?”
With Over/Under, not only do I get to do what I love, but I also
get to explore, investigate, and compile the lives of artists,
musicians, performers, directors, business owners, self motivators
and so on. By bearing witness to their passions, struggles, quirks,
and vulnerabilities, I am able to draw inspiration and motivation
for my self. I only hope that by presenting these people within
Over/Under, you, the reader, can become inspired as I have.
