Progression and growth are key elements to life. Without progress or growth
people would cease to function. Imagine if no one progressed, we would surely
be walking around the Garden of Eden right now, but how boring would that
be? There would be no culture, no music, no art, no cuisine, and no exploration.
You wouldn’t even appreciate the delicately placed fig leaves adding to the
allure of the opposite sex.
I try to apply this philosophy to my personal life as well as Over/Under by
trying to grow and learn from each and every mistake, accomplishment, or failure
I encounter. This mindset allows me to enjoy the un-enjoyable and learn from,
well, everything, moving forward as I go. Enabling myself to be immersed in
the ambiance of the experience leads to my appreciation of anything and everything,
from the simplest bass chord or lightest most delicate brush stroke to the
most erratic hip-hop beat or schizophrenic splatter of paint.
Because of this Over/Under has become more accessible for you, the reader.
We have placed a greater emphasis on photography and even managed to display
a little more content. Building upon the success and idea of the first issue
we will continue to grow and develop, thus thriving in society and life.
